Many articles and interviews were published in Malayalam, English and Arabic about the artistic and literary talents of Khaleelullah Chemnad at a very young age. Khaleel, who has won a number of literary awards, is also famous as a young writer. As articles are yet to be published in Arabic, Khaleel's calligraphic talents are not that known to Arab society. It is only recently that Khaleel started getting noticed as a full time calligraphist.
